Doctors said Warwick Davis would die before he reached his adolescence! ‘The outlook is rather bleak.’
According to newly discovered accounts, physicians didn’t expect Warwick Davis to live past his teenage years after he was born with a rare form of dwarfism.
Davis is a well-known actor and host who has hosted the ITV game show Tenable since 2016.
Five competitors compete for a chance to earn up to £125,000 by filling out ten-item lists.
This year, however, the host has been absent from a number of episodes of the show, with co-star Sally Lindsay filling in, and Warwick has exclusively revealed the reason to This website.
“Sally came in and helped out now because I’m working on another project that I can’t talk about right now,” he stated.
Warwick has been in the film industry since he was 11 years old, and his appearances in the Star Wars and Harry Potter franchises have made him the highest-grossing supporting actor of all time.
In 2017, the 51-year-old told the Loose Women panel that doctors had told him he wouldn’t live to see adulthood.
“Your prospects of surviving through your teens didn’t appear good when you were born,” Andrea McLean, the show’s co-anchor, remarked.
“Yeah, the prognosis wasn’t great for me,” Warwick replied.
“I was born in 1970, so medical science was not exactly what it is today, and I believe that seeing a child as young as me in the state I was in perplexed doctors.”
“So sure, they offered me a fairly bleak view,” she says. “I mean, I don’t know how my parents would have dealt with such a thing.”
Warwick also bucked the odds in a different way, after doctors said he would spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.
“Did I prove them wrong?” he teased. Did I strike it rich? “What’s going on here?” Warwick has an uncommon form of non-hereditary dwarfism that affects bone growth as well as vision and hearing in some cases.
“The kind of dwarfism I have is called spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita,” stated the actor, who is best known for playing Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter film trilogy (SDC).
“It simply defines the creation of the ends of my bones in me, which results in low height, but there are also additional issues.”
“Some individuals with SDC get more of these than others, and I consider myself to be quite fortunate.”
Warwick is a massive city. “Brinkwire News Summary.”
