Did Red Guardian actually combat Captain America, Black Widow?
Red Guardian, Natasha’s surrogate father, was introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in BLACK WIDOW, but did he truly battle Captain America?
Red Guardian (David Harbour), one of Black Widow’s most intriguing characters, was described as Russia’s equivalent to the Captain America project. The super-powered red warrior claimed several spectacular experiences throughout the newest Marvel flick, including one involving Steve Rogers himself, to indicate he’d been there for a while.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Red Guardian did not face Captain America.
During his time in Russian jail, Alexei informed his friends about how he had fought The First Avengers during his glory days.
Given that both fighters have super-soldier serum pouring through their veins, this would have been a sight to witness.
Alexei, on the other hand, told his comrades that he had fought Steve in the 1980s.
Fans may recall that during World War II, Steve was encased in ice at some point between 1939 and 1945.
In 2011, during the events of Captain America: The First Avenger, he was thawed and resurrected.
As a result, Red Guardian could not have faced Captain America.
Alexei snapped the wrist of the unfortunate inmate who pointed this out, so I didn’t ask him about it.
But just because Red Guardian didn’t face Captain America doesn’t mean he didn’t face another super-hero.
Since the conclusion of Captain America’s narrative in Avengers: Endgame, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has introduced a new group of super-soldiers.
More super troops were created after Steve was experimented on, it was revealed.
Isaiah Bradley, the first Black super-soldier, was debuted in Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
On top of that, The Winter Soldier was created by Hydra to carry out their orders.
In the Marvel comic books, Red Guardian has faced Captain America several times.
As Russia’s attacks on the United States proceeded, Red Guardian was opposed against Cap.
He also faced the Avengers on a few occasions over the years, most notably in 1963 when he faced Captain America, Hawkeye, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch in a combat.
Because the MCU hasn’t killed out Red Guardian, he might still face up against the new Captain America, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie).
