‘Did I just hear that?’ screams Samson Dingle during the van debate on Emmerdale.

EMMERDALE viewers couldn’t believe their ears when one of the pre-watershed soap’s characters appeared to swear during Friday’s episode.

On Friday, viewers of the popular ITV soap thought they heard Samson Dingle (played by Sam Hall) say “s***” while discussing the fact that someone had stolen a van with Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley).

“Who’d nick that shed?” the youngster inquired, but it sounded as if he had used a swear word.

Viewers who were perplexed by the scene took to Twitter to ask what was said.

After becoming suspicious of Meena Jutla’s (Paige Sandhu) behavior, Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) commandeered the van to pursue her.

“Who would nick that s***?” Samson appeared to ask as the villagers tried to figure out why the van had been taken.

“The van’s gone!” screamed Sam Dingle (James Hooton) as he stormed into the cafe.

Mandy Dingle looked on, surprised, as Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) asked, “What?”

“Someone must have stolen it!” Sam exclaimed as they tried to figure out what had happened to it.

“Was your key inside?” Mandy wondered.

He admitted sheepishly, “Might have been,” as Mandy replied, “Dipstick.”

Samson interjected, “Who’s going to nick that shed?”

Regrettably, many viewers misheard the remark.

“Did the kid on (hashtag)Emmerdale just say’s***’ or am I hearing things,” Twitter user Mike wondered.

“Did I just hear him say ‘who’s going to nick that s***?’ (hashtag)Emmerdale,” PennG0VQY added.

Emma shared, “DID SAMSON JUST SAY S***?!?! (hashtag)Emmerdale.”

“Did they just say that s***?” Ann-Marie Park wrote on Twitter.

“Haha, I was thinking Samson said ‘Who is gonna knick that s***’ not shed XD (hashtag)Emmerdale,” Marc added.

“Thought Samson said s*** there (hashtag)Emmerdale,” Sir Beanz wrote.

Chris Henderson chimed in, “(hashtag)emmerdale, did Samson just say S**T?”

“Did he say Nick that s***?” Dion inquired. (hashtag)Emmerdale

“Shed or s***? (hashtag)Emmerdale,” Reece Carter simply asked.

Although it appears that the character said “shed,” the unclear dialogue during a 7 p.m. show did not please confused viewers.
