Despite stock constraints, Xbox Series X and S manage to outsell Nintendo Switch in the UK.

XBOX SERIES X stock is as scarce as gold right now, although the Xbox Series consoles have lately outsold the Nintendo Switch in the United Kingdom.

In the United Kingdom, Microsoft’s powerful Xbox Series X console is still hard to come by, with restocks for the next-generation device few and far between. Despite this, the Xbox Series X and S outsold the Nintendo Switch in the UK for the four weeks preceding up to July 3. According to GamesIndustry.Biz, the Xbox Series X and S were the second best-selling consoles in the UK for the four weeks ending July 3.

During this time, the Xbox Series X and S outsold the Nintendo Switch, which is consistently ranked as the best-selling system in monthly sales reports from throughout the world.

The PS5 was the most popular system in the UK for the four weeks coming up to July 3.

Given how well the Switch has continuously sold since launch – and the Xbox Series X’s persistent stock problems – the Xbox Series X and S outselling the Switch for this time period is impressive.

At the time of writing, the Xbox Series X was not available for purchase in any of the UK’s major stores.

Restocks have been scarce, with AO.com being one shop that may see an Xbox Series X refill in the near future.

The last time AO received an Xbox Series X refill was about midday on Tuesday, July 13, so Xbox lovers will have to wait and see if stock arrives around the same time this Tuesday.

Alternatively, Currys has recently been one of the best places to get an Xbox Series X, so keep an eye on the retailer’s website.

Currys usually sells the Xbox Series X for £479, which includes three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate access.

So, how has Microsoft’s next-gen product managed to outsell the Switch, despite the Xbox Series X being frequently out of stock?

While the GamesIndustry.Biz article didn’t go into specific sales figures, the Xbox Series S’s availability is likely to have played a role.

Unlike the PS5 and Xbox Series X, the Xbox Series S is always in stock and can be found at a variety of stores.

The adorable next-gen console is currently available. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
