David Metcalfe of Emmerdale is shut off from his friends as Meena Jutla puts up a diabolical trap?
David Metcalfe of Emmerdale may be in for a life-changing surprise when serial murderer girlfriend Meena Julta sets up a nasty trap for him.
Due to their childcare arrangements, Meena Julta (played by Paige Sandhu) has been fighting her jealousy in recent weeks as she has watched boyfriend David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) and adversary Victoria Sugden (Isobel Hodgins) become closer. Only a few weeks ago, David and Victoria kissed after David’s son Theo went “lost,” prompting fans to question if Meena saw. Meena and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) left the cobblestones for Ibiza on Wednesday night’s episode, while Aiesha Richards (Shila Iqbal) was in a coma following a moped accident. Will Meena be able to trust her boyfriend, or is she planning a nefarious scheme to keep him to herself?
Manpreet has been unable to think clearly since learning of Aiesha’s accident and has booked a flight for her and Meena to visit her in Ibiza.
“Hey, how you holding up?” David asked Meena as they walked inside the store together. “I’ll be better once we’re on the plane,” she said.
Manpreet had called to Aiesha’s doctors that morning and informed them that she had been placed in an induced coma, Meena told David.
David complimented Meena on how well she looked for Manpreet, but it backfired when Meena immediately said, “And who’s looking after me?”
“You’ve seen her state, I’m not sure I can handle her on my own, what if Aisha dies!” she added, as David looked perplexed.
David intervened, “That’s the spirit,” before she added, “I mean it, David, I’ve hardly slept from worrying.”
She then asked David if he would accompany her to Ibiza, but David declined, stating that he couldn’t drop everything because he had the shop and Theo to look after.
Meena then runs into Victoria just as she is about to enter her house, startling her so much that she drops her keys.
Viewers will recall that Meena had previously entered Victoria’s home without her permission, causing Victoria to call the cops, believing that someone had broken in.
Victoria replied, “Feeling more daft than anything, the police made it very plain no one got in here,” to Meena’s question: “Thought I’d see how you were after your little fright yesterday.”
Victoria then inquired about Manpreet and his. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
