Dartmouth has been awarded the best summer holiday destination in the United Kingdom.

With over 47 million views on TikTok, DARTMOUTH has been named the most popular seaside locale in the UK on social media.

Perfect Stays has developed a list of the best and most popular beach areas across the UK based on the social platform’s views.

Dartmouth, Devon, takes first spot, closely followed by St Ives, Cornwall.

Dartmouth, a riverside town on the River Dart, appears to be checking all the boxes for TikTok users.

The popularity of Dartmouth is unsurprising. The picture-perfect village is a clear favorite among social media users worldwide.

The castle, which overlooks the river mouth and offers great views over the river and out to sea, is one of the town’s highlights.

The lovely river embankment and the Royal Avenue Gardens in town provide lots of photo options.

Dartmouth is a superb seaside resort because of its sheltered inlets and numerous beaches.

Castle Cove and Sugary Cove are two private coves, whereas Blackpool Sands is a Blue Flag beach.

Bigbury on Sea, Slapton Sands, and Torcross Beach are among the other beaches in the area.

Cornwall, meanwhile, comes in second with St Ives, which was designated one of TripAdvisor’s top “growing destinations” this year.

St Ives provides the best of Cornwall, with cobblestone alleys, beautiful beaches, and a bustling art scene.

The fully rebuilt Tate St Ives meets art lovers’ desires while also providing spectacular views of the sea.

St Ives’ Blue Flag beaches are ideal for surfing, kitesurfing, sandcastle building, and rock pool crabbing.

The town is an excellent beach destination because it has 12 beaches to select from.

According to TikTok, Salcombe, Devon, and its crab festival come in third place on the Perfect Stays list of the top five coastal destinations.

Salcombe is located in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the banks of the Kingsbridge Estuary.

Water sports, traveling to the beach, and, of course, crabbing are all popular activities in the town.

Crosby, Merseyside, comes in fourth place, with Crosby Beach being a popular social media hangout. Another Place, a sculpture by Antony Gormley, has been installed on the beach.

Tobermory, Scotland’s Isle of Mull, comes in fifth place.

The town of the Inner Hebrides is a charming harbor with colorful houses that line the waterfront.
