A BEAUTIFUL and “cool” West Yorkshire town is on everyone’s bucket list, yet some Britons may never have been.
Hebden Bridge, in West Yorkshire, has been rated one of the most attractive towns in the UK.
This isn’t the first time the city has compiled a top ten list.
It appeared on National Geographic’s “cool” list in 2018.
The Calder Valley was recognized by National Geographic, with “hippieish Hebden Bridge as its epicentre.”
Restaurants and small businesses contributed to the town’s inclusion on the list.
British Airways’ High Life magazine rated it “one of the world’s funkiest towns.”
Culture Trip dubbed it “Europe’s Greatest Town.”
But it’s in the news again, this time for a different reason.
Daffodil Hotel chose Hebden Bridge as one of the most beautiful sites in the UK.
The market town is placing West Yorkshire’s Calder Valley on the map on its own.
So, what’s the big deal here?
Hebden Bridge is a countryside haven, with the Rochdale Canal running through it.
The National Trust property Hardcastle Crags is a walker’s delight.
From riverpaths to walks to the top of the valley, there are 15 kilometers of trails to discover.

Sylvia Plath is buried in the graveyard of Heptonstall, where her husband, poet laureate Ted Hughes, lived.
