Claire King’s life on Emmerdale, from marriage to on-screen son and steamy affair

Claire King’s life on Emmerdale, from marriage to on-screen son and steamy affair, is revealed.

Claire King, who has played the villainous Kim Tate on Emmerdale since the 1980s, has also had notable roles on other rival soaps and critically acclaimed television shows.

Claire King, a long-time character on Emmerdale, has turned another year older.

On January 10, the actress Kim Tate turns 60 years old.

Kim has been involved in some of the most dramatic storylines on the soap, from affairs with Neil Kincaid and Dave Glover in the 1990s to masterminding a plot to force the Dingles to leave their home, to feuds with villagers.

Claire King has been a part of the Dales for 38 years, but it isn’t her only soap role.

Claire, who was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire on January 10, 1962, also starred in rival soaps Hollyoaks as Andrea Mason QC from 2005 to 2012 and Coronation Street as Erica Holroyd from 2014 to 2017.

Claire revealed to The Sun that she was lured into hotel rooms by sleazy casting directors on her way to her first acting role auditions. “I’ve been to several castings where I’ve thought, ‘This isn’t right, why am I in a hotel room? Why am I not in an office or a studio?'”

While Claire claimed that she had never been sexually harassed during any of the auditions, she did admit that she had “plenty of friends” who had ended up in “difficult situations.”

And it continues to happen today.”

Claire has also appeared in shows such as The Royal, Holby City, and Doctors, in addition to Emmerdale. From 2000 to 2004, she played tough-talking Karen Betts in the acclaimed drama series Bad Girls.

Her role as Kim, on the other hand, is one for which she will be remembered in perpetuity, and the actress has stated that she intends to retire from acting once she has completed the role.

Claire met ex-husband Peter Amory, who played her stepson Chris Tate in the soap, while playing Kim Tate.

According to The Mirror, Peter and Samantha Giles, who plays Bernice Blackstock on Emmerdale, had an affair after it was revealed that Peter was having an affair with one of their Emmerdale co-stars, Samantha Giles.

“I questioned Pete and he admitted it had been going on for a while,” Claire said in a 2005 interview with The Mirror.

“He said it was over, but it started all over again.”

‘Well, you have to go with her then, because it’s obviously not.’
