Cilla Battersby-Brown of Coronation Street returns to expose Tyrone Dobbs’ lies?

CORONATION STREET veteran Cilla Battersby-Brown could be set to make a dramatic comeback to the cobbles after Tyrone Dobbs told an awful lie to Alina Pop at the end of Friday’s episode.

Cilla (Wendi Peters) was last seen on Coronation Street in 2014, when she came to Weatherfield for a brief visit to notify her children that she had been diagnosed with osteoporosis. Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and Chesney Brown (Sam Astonmother )’s left the show permanently in 2008, but she has always been passionately protective of her children from afar. Following Friday’s hour-long episode of the ITV soap, the famed family’s matriarch could return to the cobbles as her daughter and granddaughter, Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan), seek safety from the cops. Tyrone (Alan Halsall) is getting to spend his life with Alina (Ruxandra Porojnicu), and the soap stalwart could give some knowledge that would permanently break the couple.

The investigation into the fire at Tyrone and Alina’s flat continued on Friday’s episode, and Alina wanted justice after a miscarriage.

Unlike others who assumed the fire started accidentally, she suspected it was ignited on purpose, and the investigators confirmed her hypothesis.

They revealed how an accelerant was used to increase the fire’s intensity, and it wasn’t long before the heartbroken mother blamed Fiz.

Fiz was terrified that her daughter Hope had something to do with the fire after hearing it was started by someone.

Unfortunately, her discovery of Alina’s lost keys in her daughter’s play box further confirmed her suspicions.

Fiz instructed Hope to pack a bag and be ready to leave the cobbles because she knew the cops were coming.

Tyrone interrupted just as they were ready to depart, wanting to know if his former boyfriend had stolen his girlfriend’s keys to their flat.

Fiz and her daughter were about to flee the cobblestones when the mechanic noticed them, making them appear pretty guilty.

Fiz tried to explain herself by saying, “I’m going to my mother’s [Cilla’s] house, that’s all,” but Tyrone sensed something more sinister beneath the surface.

“I couldn’t tell you because I didn’t want Chesney to know,” she said as her ex-boyfriend inquired if she had begun. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
