Chelsea’s John Terry singles out Eden Hazard for another outstanding performance against Juventus.

Chelsea star John Terry is singled out for yet another outstanding performance against Juventus.

Chelsea and Thiago Silva are riding high in the Premier League and have advanced to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

John Terry, an ex-skipper, has heaped even more praise on the Brazilian.

Thiago Silva was singled out by Chelsea legend John Terry for his Champions League win over Juventus on Tuesday.

Thomas Tuchel’s side secured their passage to the last 16 of the competition with a 4-0 thrashing of the Serie A giants on a night when everything went right for the Blues.

Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Timo Werner all scored goals to put the Old Lady to shame.

Terry, on the other hand, didn’t seem to notice any of the goal scorers.

After the game, the ex-Chelsea captain took to Twitter to praise fellow centre-back Silva’s performance, using three blue love hearts and two claps in his tweet.

“This man,” he explained.

What a performer.”

Since joining Tuchel and Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, the 37-year-old Brazilian has been an important player for Tuchel and Chelsea.

On his return to Stamford Bridge, the veteran centre-back used his entire arsenal of experience to deny Alvaro Morata an equalizer.

After Trevoh Chalobah’s thunderous first-time strike had put the team ahead, Silva was called upon to hook one off the line just moments later.

Let us know if you think Thiago Silva is the best Chelsea centre-back since John Terry in the comments section.

Morata latched onto Manuel Locatelli’s dinked ball forward and chipped Eduoard Mendy in the Chelsea goal.

But, just as the ball appeared to be about to cross the line, Silva managed to hook it clear from underneath the crossbar and keep their lead intact.

And it wasn’t just Terry who was impressed by the Brazilian’s performance; several fans responded to Terry’s tweet by agreeing with him.

One fan exclaimed, “Best defender we’ve had since JT!!”

“I’d have loved to have seen you team up with him, John.”

Another responded, “We’d give up -4 goals all season.”

“How am I even supposed to believe that he is 37 years old?” one supporter wondered.
