As they worked together on Star Wars, the late Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill found out that they had a lot in common.
At one point, the two even had an extensive make-out session. Fisher was most jealous, however, that Hamill was working on set with this one actor and she was not.
During the production of ‘Star Wars’, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill once made out.
Hamill described in an interview with “The Guardian,” how he and Fisher came to make out.
“I remember one time – I’m sure alcohol was involved – we were talking about kissing techniques,”I remember one time – I’m sure alcohol was involved – we were talking about kissing techniques. “I said, ‘Well, I think I’m a pretty good kisser.'”
For 10 years, Carrie Fisher did not speak to her mother, Debbie Reynolds, for this difficult reason.
“I’d rather have women come to me than be aggressive,” he continued. And she said, “What do you mean?” Well, the next thing you know, we’re making out like teenagers! ”
They were drawn to each other by Hamill and Fisher, but they soon realized what they were doing.
Both of them broke out with laughter and it never happened again.
The siblings of ‘Star Wars’ both liked ‘Monty Python’
Mark Hamill shared several stories about the renowned actress in his 2017 tribute to Carrie Fisher.
Hamill told the panel, “We both truly had a love for the absurd, for Monty Python.” She was very informed about the film. She saw so many of the movies I enjoyed.
He said, “If my life wasn’t funny, it would just be true, and that’s unacceptable.” #CarrieOnForever https://t.co/8W5qy7FRKT- Mark Hamill (@HamillHimself) December 28, 2020 Carrie Fisher had 1 ‘Star Wars’ scene she would really like to do again.
Luckily, while shooting ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’ in London, England, Fisher had the pleasure of staying with Eric Idle of Monty Python. She also attended a big party with Harrison Ford at his place. Idle announced on Good Morning America that the two actors went to the set intoxicated the next morning.
Fisher was jealous of having to compete with Alec Guinness, Hamill revealed.
Fisher would have loved to act with him, even though Alec Guinness despised working on Star Wars.
Hamill told the 2017 tribute panel, “She was jealous that I got to work with Alec Guinness and she didn’t,”
Fans loved the character played by Guinness – Ben “Obi-Wan” Kenobi – but that did not stop the late actor from calling the “fairy tale garbage.” Star Wars.
Guinness would have preferred to work with Fisher anyway, perhaps.
The late actor admitted that Hamill was bribed once by Guinness to leave him alone.
“Alec Guinness once gave Mark Hamill 20 pounds to go away,” Fisher told NPR in 2012.
She clarified that Guinness was asked so many questions about acting and his profession by Hamill. And he was paid by the older actor to leave. Hamill accepted the money, but not after being signed off by Guinness.
While Fisher’s company could have enjoyed him more, it would have changed the Star Wars saga too much.
