Bridgerton’s cast is ‘heartbroken’ over the death of a coworker, as the stars pen a memorial titled ‘Taken so young.’
Following the passing of the show’s hair and makeup designer, Marc Pilcher, BRIDGERTON actor Nicola Coughlan led the condolences from the cast of the Netflix series.
Bridgerton actor Nicola Coughlan paid a poignant tribute to a member of the show’s crew on Instagram on Monday afternoon. Marc Pilcher, who worked as a hair and cosmetics designer on the record-breaking Netflix drama for the first season, has sadly passed away.
Coughlan revealed the news to her 1.2 million Instagram followers alongside a photo of the Bridgeton team member, writing: “So heartbroken by the passing of Marc Pilcher, the amazing and imaginative Hair and Makeup designer for Bridgerton Season One.”
“Marc was incredibly brilliant and passionate about his work. He earned his first Emmy trophy less than a month ago.
“It’s a tragedy that he died so young, when he still had so much to accomplish.”
While no fatality has been confirmed, Coughlan wrote in her statement that Pilcher’s death should serve as a “reminder” of COVID-19’s hazards.

“Please use this as a reminder that Covid is still a very real and present risk, and that you should be vaccinated and wear a mask to protect yourself and others,” she added.

Bridgerton stars Phoebe Dynevor and Sabrina Bartlett were among those who responded with a succession of love heart emojis.
Michelle Visage, a former Strictly Come Dancing contestant and RuPaul Drag Race judge, also expressed her sorrow, saying, “I’m really sad.”
Hundreds of Coughlan’s fans also expressed their condolences, with one commenting, “Awww how incredibly awful.” “I’m sending my love.” “I witnessed this last night, and my heart truly breaks for all of you [heartbroken emoji],” a second commented. “Heartbreaking news,” a third added.
