The famous CBS “Blue Bloods” police drama has just begun its eleventh season.
The Reagan family and the amazing cast, which includes stars like Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg, can’t get enough from fans.
Fans are excited about seeing a new member of the Reagan family this season. Last season, the series brought Frank Reagan’s surprise grandson in.
A police officer happens to be the newest member of the family, while his mother seeks to protect him from the family legacy. On top of that, fans say he is his father’s spitting picture.
Joe Hill: The Reagan Family’s surprise addition.
Something to think about as we wait to get #BlueBloods next week.
Say your feelings to us! Pic.twitter.com/PrFG9elwsJ- Blue Bloods (@BlueBloods CBS) December 12, 2020 Blue Bloods’ new season focuses on the Reagan family’s surprise addition – Joe Hill. Hill is Frank Reagan’s grandson and Joe Reagan’s son. It’s uncanny how close the two look when you compare images, like this one of Joe Reagan on Fandom.
Fans love the striking similarity of Hill to his late father and applaud the series for having such a great actor to play him.
Joe Reagan was one of the three children of Frank and an officer with the NYPD. In the film, he never starred, as he died before the series began. Fans still see him in videos, though, and he is also spoken about in the series.
Reagan had partnered with the FBI to infiltrate a group of police officers that were unethical. When the gang known as the Blue Templars murdered him because he was too close to revealing the members, he was undercover. For the Reagan family, his death was a tragic loss and is discussed in the series in many episodes.
While doing research for a genealogy project at school, Hill was discovered by his cousin Sean.
As Reagan’s former girlfriend never told anyone that she had a child with him, the family was unaware of his life.
Who is playing Joe Hill?
Always seeing him? Still not? We’ve got #Broadway for one more week. On January 12, #TheSoundInside closes Lots of passion. Pic.twitter.com/K5n0maGYzj- Will Hochman (@willhochman) January 5, 2020 ‘Blue Bloods’: Frank battles after the mystery of Joe Hill is exposed
In the series, Will Hochman portrays Joe Hill. As fans have noted that he looks almost exactly like his father, Hochman is a perfect cast for the role.
Relatively new to the film and television scene, the young actor has already starred in the CBS legal series The Code.
In the recent film Let Him Go, Hochman worked alongside acting icons Kevin Costner and Diane Lane. He spent much of his theater career, performing in The Sound Inside and Off-Broadway on Broadway in an adaptation of Dead Poet’s Society.
Acting was not always a dream of Hochman’s – until he knew he wanted to pursue acting, the 28-year-old was in college. He has a Colby College degree in finance, but we think acting is here to stay. It’s not going to be long before we’ll see a lot more of this talented young Hollywood star.
For the rest of the season, what can we expect?
The new season is only a few episodes old, so it’s hard to say how Hill’s story will develop. He is known to be, at least for now, a recurring character. It will be interesting to see how Hill handles his job now that he knows his family’s legacy.
Being a Reagan in the police department makes Hill’s job a lot more difficult.
The atmosphere in the department has changed, and his colleagues treat him differently.
They seem to think that he could be a Reagan spy, one who is only there to report any misstep of his family.
The last episode left fans wondering if Joe’s departure from the force could become a permanent one. If he leaves the force, will his character still be a part of the show, or is this their way of writing him out? We’ll all have to tune in to Season 11 to find out.
