Beverley Callard of Coronation Street flaunts a massive new tattoo that is ‘growing’ up her leg.
Beverley Callard, better known on the cobbles as Liz McDonald, proudly showed off her new ink on Instagram, which covers her lower leg and features bright, colorful flowers.
Beverley Callard, star of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, has revealed her new tattoo, which she claims is ‘growing’ up her lower leg.
To her 163,000 Instagram followers, the Coronation Street actress shared her brand new tattoo.
She started working on the large piece, which features five large flowers, three blue, one pink, and one purple, in December.
Her toes all the way up to the top of her shin, just below her knee, are covered in flora.
“New ink…it’s growing,” she captioned a photo of her new tattoo on Instagram.
Her tattoo, a vine of flowers that seemed to creep up her leg, or her ever-growing tattoo collection could be the subject of the caption.
After going under the needle with fellow campmate Jordan North on their TV show Destination Wedding, the Coronation Street actress revealed her first ever tattoo at the age of 59, a tribute to her marriage to Jon McEwan.
The tattoo is a tribute to their love and includes classic tragedy and comedy theatre masks, as well as music notes, a bright red heart, and an inscription of their names and anniversary date.
Beverley Mitchell, who played Liz McDonald on Coronation Street for 31 years, retired from the show in late 2020, with her final scenes airing in late 2020.
She’s been extremely busy recently, concentrating on her first role since leaving Corrie.
The I’m A Celebrity judge is set to appear in a new comedy series called Newark, Newark, which is currently filming in Nottingham and will air on Gold later this year.
Beverley will appear alongside Mat Horne (Gavin and Stacey), Lauren Socha (Misfits), and Morgana Robinson (Comedian).
Beverley is expected to play the mother of Morgana’s character Maxine in the three-part series.
Beverly’s first acting role since leaving the cobbles will be in this series, which follows divorced chip shop owner Maxine as she searches for a romantic spark.
She was set to tour with the theatre show Thundergirls before the Covid-19 pandemic struck, so she decided to compete in the I’m A Celeb series in 2020, where she was the third celebrity to be eliminated.
