Before launching his own show on GB News, Eamonn Holmes expresses his main concern.

Following his children’s attempts to help him wake up, Eamonn Holmes has launched his own show on GB News, which airs at 6 a.m.

After starting his new job at GB News, Eamonn Holmes has revealed that he is “dreading insomnia.”

After launching his new show with Isabel Webster, the 62-year-old admitted that he dreads the early morning wake-up.

According to The Mirror, the presenter’s show airs at 6 a.m., which means he must be in the studio at least an hour and a half before going live.

“The early starts do take their toll,” Eamonn wrote in his Express column, “but knowing you’re meeting up with one of your best friends, the work becomes much more fun and time tends to fly.”

“It’s a little more difficult in the evenings.

My biggest fear for the future is insomnia, as well as a’sleep hangover’ the next day.”

Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that makes it difficult to fall asleep, stay asleep, or cause you to wake up too early and not be able to go back to sleep, all of which have an impact on a person’s day-to-day life.

Before his debut on GB News earlier this month, the former This Morning host said he “didn’t sleep a wink.”

The Irish native’s children have attempted to assist the TV host with his early mornings by purchasing an alarm clock for him.

“I need to make a long-term plan about how to get up in the morning,” he said as he wrapped up his first show with the network.

Last night, I didn’t get a single wink of sleep.

“My children gave me a nice alarm clock that went off and I couldn’t turn it off.”

“I’ve spent my career on broadcasting firsts and start-ups, and GB News is one of the most exciting yet,” Eamonn, who presented This Morning alongside his wife Ruth Langsford, said.

It’s exactly the kind of upheaval the industry requires.

“I’ve admired GB News from the start for its deft blend of incisive debate delivered with warmth and even a little humour.”
