‘Be wary!’ says Martin Lewis about certain Black Friday discounts.

MARTIN LEWIS issued a cautionary warning to those looking for Black Friday bargains this weekend.

Martin Lewis returned with a bang. The Martin Lewis Money Show is a live show hosted by Martin Lewis. He has the best Black Friday and Christmas shopping recommendations, including all of the top discounts and bargains for several popular retailers. The financial expert also revealed a “nifty method” through which the business might offer an additional discount coupon at the online checkout.

“If you’re shopping on Amazon at this time of year, you want to know if it’s extremely cheap,” the Money Saving Expert began.

“Camelcamelcamel.co.uk plots the prices so you can see if they’ve increased or decreased.”

“You can see if it’s really the cheapest time of the year if you look at the pricing now and it says it’s discounted.”

“Price comparison for your Christmas shopping; pricespy.co.uk is a great site to see if something is cheaper in multiple stores.”

“Then there’s a good little tip to utilize at this time of year: when you’ve logged in online, go into your shopping basket, put the products you want in, and then walk away.”

“If you haven’t purchased within a few days, they will usually email you a discount code to make it cheaper.”

“Some of them [stores and brands]are catching on, and it’s not always working.”

“However, it’s a clever trick for this time of year.”

“And, as a final reminder, gift vouchers and gift cards are not protected,” he concluded.

“If the company fails, the money is gone.”

“I like cash because it is the most flexible gift voucher you can offer.”

Later in the broadcast, Martin discussed the latest offers in front of Black Friday, which begins tomorrow and runs through Cyber Monday.

He told ITV viewers, “I’ve attempted to do this in order of worst to best.”

“I’m afraid of one-off discounts because they’re trying to convince you to buy things you wouldn’t buy otherwise – just be careful.”

“We’ve got a slew of prominent names,” says the narrator.
