August 2021, PS Plus: When will Sony announce the next free PS4 and PS5 games?
This week, the PS PLUS August 2021 lineup will be released. So, when are the next free PS4 and PS5 games going to be announced by Sony?
We’re reaching the end of the month, which can only mean one thing for PS4 and PS5 gamers: the announcement of a new PS Plus lineup. Unlike Microsoft, Sony has a defined time each month when they reveal their new round of free games. And we’re getting close to that point.
Sony usually announces the next PlayStation Plus lineup on the last Wednesday of each month at 4.30 p.m. UK time.
As a result, the PS Plus August 2021 lineup is expected to be revealed on Wednesday, July 28 at 4.30 p.m. BST.
PS4 and PS5 gamers, on the other hand, won’t have to wait nearly as long to find out what the next PS Plus games will be.
That’s because Sony appears to have leaked the PS Plus lineup for August 2021 ahead of schedule.
The official PlayStation website appeared to unveil the new PS Plus lineup early over the weekend.
Hunter’s Arena Legends was previously announced as the free PS5 game for August during the most recent State of Play.
The additional games in the August PS Plus lineup have now been revealed as well.
The other PS Plus games will be Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2.
Backwards compatibility allows PS4 and PS5 owners to play these games.
From Tuesday, August 3rd, the new PS Plus games will be available for download.
The announcement of the future PlayStation Plus lineup also means that the present free PlayStation Plus games are running out of time.
For July 2021, the PS Plus lineup includes Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and WWE 2K Battlegrounds for the PS4, as well as A Plague Tale: Innocence for the PS5.
These games, as well as Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown, which was previously introduced to PS Plus, will be removed from the service next week.
