Jamie Lee Curtis will resume her role as Laurie in Halloween Kills, which will be released on October 15 and will see her confront Michael Myers once more.

Jamie Lee Curtis looked exactly like her actress mother Janet Leigh at the premiere of Halloween Kills, wearing the same dress her mother wore in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film Psycho.

Fans had to make a double take when they saw Jamie Lee Curtis come to the premiere of her new film on Tuesday, October 12 in Hollywood, wearing a blonde wig and a blue a-line dress.

She also carried a bloody shower curtain in homage to Janet Leigh’s character being killed in Psycho’s famous scene.

In Alfred Hitchcock’s famous 1960s psychological horror, Janet Leigh portrays Marion Crane, who is murdered in the bathtub by Norman Bates at his hotel after stealing money from her employers.

However, Jamie’s illustrious family connections don’t end there: his father was actor Tony Curtis, who acted in films such as Some Like It Hot alongside Marilyn Monroe.

Jamie Lee Curtis followed in her parents’ footsteps, gaining acclaim for her portrayal as Laurie in 1978’s Halloween, a role she will return in 2021’s Halloween Kills.

Jamie’s character Laurie meets the frightening Michael Myers again in Halloween Kills, which will be released on Friday, October 15, 2021.

In an interview with Variety, Jamie Lee Curtis remarked, “It’s the ultimate good vs evil.” She joins forces with her family and other members of the Illinois town who have survived his attacks to track down Michael Myers.

Laurie’s innocence combined with Michael Myers’ depravity produces “a tension that you, the audience member, wants to defend her from,” she added.

John Carpenter directed the first Halloween picture, which grossed over £70 million at the box office when it was released in October 1977, spawning a series of sequels including Halloween II and Halloween H20.

Laurie comes face to face with Michael Myers for the first time in 40 years in a new Halloween film released in 2018, putting herself and her family in peril.

Laurie will discover if he can finally put an end to his reign of terror in the next installment of the series.
