At a comedy show, Romesh Ranganathan receives “racist abuse” from a member of the audience.

At a comedy show, Romesh Ranganathan is subjected to ‘racist abuse.’

ROMESH RANGANATHAN was heckled by a member of the audience who had to be escorted out by security.

Romesh Ranganathan, 43, the host of The Weakest Link, was reportedly heckled by “vile racists” during his own comedy show on Thursday.

A female audience member was removed by security after the incident occurred at the Eventim Apollo in London.

Romesh’s The Cynics Mixtape Tour included this performance.

According to MailOnline, Romesh was forced to stop the show and apologize to the rest of the audience after the woman stood up and hurled racist slurs at him.

Romesh is said to have then requested that the woman be removed from the stage so that he could continue with his performance.

The comedian appears stunned in footage obtained by the publication as he tells the audience, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”

“I’m just going to, erm,” says the speaker.

As the woman was marched out of the venue, the crowd erupted in raucous applause and chanted, “Cheerio, cheerio, cheerio.”

“Can I tell you something honestly, I’ve got really mixed feelings about that because I found it very distracting, erm, so I apologise,” Romesh says.

“I’m glad that’s taken care of, but I’m a little disappointed that that’s the most excited you’ve sounded all night!”

Fans have praised Romesh for how he handled the situation.

Before the heckler is thrown out, Romesh says in a separate clip obtained by The Sun, “Wait listen, I’m getting distracted.”

You’re going to have to be quiet.

What exactly is going on?

“Am I being a jerk here? Why are you standing there, what’s up?”

Security then approaches the woman, who makes threatening gestures at them.

The audience is yelling at her to “get out” in a furious manner.

According to a source, the incident started when Romesh made a joke about racism in football, citing Millwall Football Club fans who chanted “I’d rather be a P**i than a Scouse” during a football match between Millwall and Everton in 2019.

“Millwall!” was reportedly shouted repeatedly by a male audience member, to which Romesh reportedly responded, “Why are you letting everyone know you are a racist?”

“Then the lady in front started screaming,” the source continued.

“She began yelling racist abuse at him.”
