Charlie Stayt shuts down BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty as the Banksy argument heats up.

On Thursday morning, BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty was left red-faced as her co-host Charlie Stayt unexpectedly shut her down on Banksy’s artworks.

When a discussion over Banksy artworks turned tense on Thursday morning, BBC Breakfast host Charlie Stayt didn’t hesitate to turn off his co-host Naga Munchetty.

The two were discussing one of the renowned graffiti artist’s works, which has been re-listed for sale after a hidden shredder was discovered in it, damaging the £1 million artwork at auction.

“Now, not many works of art can treble in value if they’re passed through a shredding machine,” Charlie began the segment, “but that’s what a Banksy image is forecast to do today.”

“You may recall this incident, which I’m sure shocked many… it was in 2018 when the painting, Girl With Balloon, was shredded in a secret shredder,” Naga said. It was recently sold for more than £1 million.

“As a result, the work has been renamed Love In A Bin, and it is up for auction at Sotheby’s today.” The price has climbed slightly, and it is now expected to sell for substantially more than £3.5 million.” “I suppose the moral of the story is to keep valuable artwork away from shredders!” Charlie examined his options. Naga, on the other hand, disagreed with his decision, stating emphatically, “No!” The moral of the story is that if you shred it, it will grow to three and a half times its original size!” “Are you saying that the story’s conclusion is to shred all important works of art?” Charlie was perplexed. “Well, didn’t it appear to work there?” Because it was once worth a million dollars and is now worth $3.5 million! To be honest, I don’t think there was a moral to what happened… it just happened,” Naga replied.

“That strategy isn’t working for me!” Charlie burst out laughing. Naga will come to a total stop as a result of this.

“Come on, Carol,” Naga urged as the two turned to weather anchor Carol Kirkwood to settle their differences.

“I think I’d better get started on the weather!” She replied quickly, as if she didn’t want to get embroiled in their quarrel. “Have a nice day, everyone!” On the red sofa, Charlie and Naga couldn’t stop themselves from giggling at her neutrality.

It comes after Naga returned to the show last week after a lengthy absence. Brinkwire has a summary of the news.
