STEPH MCGOVERN has taken to social media to announce her new job, only days after revealing she would be returning to the BBC.

Steph McGovern announced her departure from BBC Breakfast in 2019 on Instagram yesterday. During the summer break, the mother-of-one is taking a break from her Channel 4 show Steph’s Packed Lunch.

As she received accolades on the photo-sharing site, the 39-year-old said she “means business.”

Steph revealed that she will be a contestant on Michael McIntyre’s BBC show The Wheel tonight.

The presenter tweeted a photo of herself on the set of the game show with her 43,000 followers.

Steph revealed that for her specialty subject on the quiz show, she will return to her business origins.

“On television tomorrow night…,” she wrote. @bbcone at 8.30 p.m.

“I’m serious about business… Because on Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel, that’s my specialty category!

“OMG really looking forward to this,” one fan remarked in response to the article.

“I can’t wait for this!” exclaimed another. “I really enjoy this show,” said a third.

Steph will appear with Dion Dublin from Homes Under the Hammer and Johannes Radebe from Strictly Come Dancing.

Sue Perkins, Daz Black, David Dickinson, and Robert Peston will all appear on tonight’s episode.

Steph had been a financial journalist for almost a decade, previously working as the BBC Breakfast business correspondent.

Since then, the award-winning presenter has launched her own Channel 4 show, which includes famous guests, entertainment, food, and consumer tales.

The announcement comes after Steph announced on social media that she will be hosting her own BBC Two show.

The mother-of-one gave a peek into her new BBC offering by sharing a series of images from her time filming in the Yorkshire Dales.

“Spent the day filming a show in The Yorkshire Dales on Monday,” Steph posted. I spent 7 hours walking through Littondale in the sunshine.

“All I had to do was walk around with a small camera on a stick and talk to myself and anyone I met along the way!”
