As his search continues, Dog the Bounty Hunter pays a visit to Brian Laundrie’s sister’s home.

The search for Brian Laundrie in Florida has been formally restarted by Dog the Bounty Hunter star Duane “Dog” Chapman. Laundrie has been missing since mid-September and is wanted in connection with his fiancée Gabby Petito’s death. Despite reports that Chapman had left Florida due to an ankle ailment, he was seen on Wednesday banging on the door of Laundrie’s sister’s house, according to TMZ.

Chapman and his wife, Francie Frane, were said to have arrived at the home of Laundrie’s sister, Cassie, according to the publication. Chapman began hammering on the front door as the two approached. The fact that no one opened the door didn’t seem to bother the reality star. He told the cameras that he feels Cassie knows more about her brother’s disappearance than he does.

It was stated a few days before Chapman went to Cassie’s house that he had damaged his ankle while searching for Laundrie. Lyssa Chapman, his daughter, confirmed that he was returning to Colorado to “take care of some business.” She explained that her father would be leaving his team in Florida to continue the search. She wrote on Twitter, “Dad is returning to Colorado for a short while to take care of some business. (Remember, he was on his honeymoon in Florida.) We’re still looking for [Brian Laundrie], and we’ve set up a team in Florida. I’ll share whatever I can with you, as usual.” Chapman’s claimed ankle issue was also addressed by WFLA reporter Josh Benson. He said the bounty hunter injured his ankle while looking for Laundrie in Florida and that he will be treated in Colorado. Chapman would “also raise funding to continue what he terms a ‘expensive hunt,” according to Benson. He said, “Team claims he’s assembled a talented network of local team members, which he refers to as the ‘Florida Team,’ who will continue the hunt while he’s away. While he’s in Colorado, he says he’ll continue to process leads.” According to TMZ’s claim, Chapman did not leave Florida to receive therapy, despite initial reports to the contrary. However, due to his wounded ankle, the Dog the Bounty Hunter star appeared to be walking with a limp, according to the outlet.
