As a co-star speaks out, Kate Middleton had’secret’ Christmas rehearsals.

KATE MIDDLETON took part in a series of “secret” rehearsals with singer Tom Walker ahead of her TV appearance in the Royal Carols: Together At Christmas service at Westminster Abbey over the holiday season.

Tom Walker joined Susanna Reid and Richard Bacon on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday morning to discuss his Christmas 2021 collaboration with Kate Middleton.

Tom admitted to having “top secret” rehearsals with the Duchess of Cambridge ahead of their performance after being asked about how he was approached to do the collaboration and having high praises for Kate’s talents.

“As if singing for millions of people wasn’t enough, the musician Tom Walker shared the stage with none other than the Duchess of Cambridge for a special Christmas performance at Westminster Abbey,” Susanna said when introducing Tom to the show.

“Tom’s performance for ‘Those Who Can’t Be Here’ was shown on Christmas Eve with Kate Middleton accompanying him on the piano,” Richard continued.

“Tom Walker joins us now, Tom, Good Morning, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom

“How did it happen? When did you find out you’d be accompanying Kate Middleton?”

“Well, good morning,” Tom said as he greeted the two hosts. “I was actually approached, we did a charity event together called Act on Addiction.”

“I was playing ‘Leave A Light On’ as a show of support, and the Duchess was giving a speech, and we’d met briefly before.”

“However, we struck up a conversation at that event, and I was approached later and asked if I could play the carol service; at first, they wanted my song ‘Leave A Light On,’ but we sent the team my Christmas song instead.”

“At this point, no one had heard it, and they absolutely loved it.”

The Duchess’s team then asked if she could join me on the piano and accompany me live during the concert, which was incredible.”

“At that point, did you say, well, maybe, but how good is she?” Susanna teased.

“She’s fantastic, a really talented musician, we had a rehearsal together,” Tom said, laughing at Susanna’s joke.

“It was a top-secret rehearsal to ensure that we were both comfortable playing with each other and that she understood what was going on.
