CHRISTINE LAMPARD has slammed Meghan Markle’s estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., for remarks he made about the Duchess of Sussex prior to his appearance on Big Brother VIP in Australia.

Christine, 42, hosted the ITV talk show Lorraine on Monday morning, where she discussed a wide range of topics. When she met with Showbiz correspondent Ross King, 59, one of the topics on her mind was the trailer for the all-star edition of Big Brother that had just been released in Australia. With Meghan’s estranged half-brother Thomas Jr., 55, appearing in the series, the presenter couldn’t help but comment on his remarks about his estranged half-sister in the teaser clip.

“I’m Meghan Markle’s brother,” Thomas Jr is heard saying among a slew of other renowned faces, mocking the Duchess of Sussex.

“I’m the oldest brother of them all,” he continues, before introducing Prince Harry, 36, to the stage.

“I think she’s going to ruin your life,” the reality TV personality told the Duke of Sussex, according to his first-hand recollection of the conversation. She’s a superficial person.”

With his father, Thomas Markle, 77, and sister, Samantha Markle, 56, making regular appearances on television to discuss Meghan, this is one of the first public remarks Meghan’s estranged half-brother has made.

Christine added, “It’s just a little bit cringe,” as soon as the clip was played on the chat program.

“Has that made any news over there [in the US]?” the host inquired, to which Ross replied, “Yes, a little bit.”

“It’s starting to seep through, so it’ll be fascinating to see what comes of it,” he remarked, and that was all he said.

“We’ll find out in the next weeks and months,” he added, but Christine expressed her concern that this will have far-reaching consequences for the young couple.

“Undoubtedly another pain for Meghan and Harry,” she said, referring to the recent media attention the couple has experienced.
