Angel Adoree expresses her dissatisfaction with Escape to the Chateau by saying, “I don’t like it!”
ANGEL ADOREE has spoken up about a regret she has about the design of her Escape to the Chateau house, which she and her husband Dick Strawbridge share.
On Channel 4’s Escape to the Chateau, Angel Adoree and Dick Strawbridge tell the story of their home’s makeover. The mother-of-two previously said in a previously aired episode featured on All 4 that there was some aspect of the 19th-century Chateau that she “didn’t like” and was keen to improve.
“This section outside the home is a giant monster of sheer ugliness,” Angel explained in her attic workroom.
“There’s this rectangle shape, but there’s nothing there.”
“I wanted the gravel down three years ago when it was just muck outside because it was 20€ a tonne and it covered a space.”
“Obviously, I don’t like it now,” she continued, “and I don’t think it looks very good.”
With the support of Dick Strawbridge, the star of Escape to the Chateau expressed her aspirations of turning the space into a terrace.
“I want something truly spectacular, so Dick and I have been looking at choices, and it’s been incredibly difficult,” she explained.
“You simply cannot lay these exterior tiles because they lack the necessary oomph.
“It has to be proper stone, really good flagstones,” says the architect.
Angel explained, “When we initially started dating.” “Dick bought me a birdcage – it was enormous, Victorian, and just beautiful.
“However, it sparked our interest and discussions about establishing an aviary.”
Angel said that she and Dick had scouted a couple potential locations for an aviary on the Chateau grounds.
“When we were discussing the outside of the house, Dick suggested, ‘Let’s get those aviaries we’ve been talking about,’” Angel added.
“I think it’ll be rather special,” she remarked, describing the birds as “pretty birds, lovebirds, canaries, and colorful birds.”
“I want the aviaries to resemble a large conventional birdcage; I’ve seen them, and I know they exist, but they’re hard to come by.
“I want this aviary to be absolutely breathtaking, but where there is a will, there is a method, and we will eventually find what we want.”
The couple’s new intentions, however, presented them with more challenges than just finding the birdcages.
