Alison Hammond explains the doctor’s new weight warning because she is afraid about not being able to be there for her son.

“I want to be present for my son,” ALISON HAMMOND said of the weight-loss warning she received from her doctor earlier this year.

Alison Hammond has battled her weight her entire life, trying every diet imaginable. Things came to a head lately, according to the This Morning anchor, when she received a warning from her doctor.

It frightened me… I want to be available to my son. Alison Hammond is a British actress. Following the second lockdown, the 46-year-old, who is a size 28, was told she was pre-diabetic.

The news made the presenter worried that she wouldn’t be able to be there for her teenage son, Aiden.

Alison’s mother, who died in February of last year after a battle with liver and lung cancer, had diabetes.

The fact that she could get the deadly ailment was a wake-up call for the small-screen star, she said.

The Big Brother favourite admitted the pandemic had a “dire” effect on her weight in a new interview today.

However, she soon changed her lifestyle and is no longer pre-diabetic as a result of those doctor’s words.

Alison was fitted with a gastric band in 2014, but it had to be removed after her body rejected it.

She admitted, “I didn’t do very well with it.” “I was sick a lot, and I don’t think I was mentally prepared for it.” After being unable to control her eating in lockdown, the mother-of-one went on to describe the warning she received just months before.

She went on to say: “In terms of weight, lockdown was a disaster for me. I couldn’t keep track of how much I ate or how much exercise I got.

“It got to the point where my doctor told me, ‘You have to do something, Alison.'”

She had never had any health problems before, so this news frightened her.

The Sun quoted her as saying: “It terrified me since my mother suffered with diabetes, and I want to be there for my baby.

“As a result, I resolved to take action. I take long walks and avoid sugar.” Alison said, ” “I’m feeling a lot better now. I don’t weigh myself since you can tell by your clothes… I’m doing great.” After competing in the third series of the reality show Big Brother in 2002, the celebrity catapulted to popularity.

Since then, she’s worked as a presenter and reporter on ITV’s This Morning, as well as on shows like “Brinkwire Summary News.”
