Ahead of the Double XP event, Call of Duty: Cold War and Warzone have received an update.
This week, a new Call of Duty Cold War and Warzone update will be released, just in time for the next Double XP event.
Activision is releasing a new Call of Duty update in Cold War and Warzone to give gamers a helping hand as time runs out to complete the Season 4 Battle Pass.
COD enthusiasts will be able to gain Double Weapon XP and reduced Battle Pass Tiers across all platforms starting on Friday, July 30 and lasting through August 2.
The event will begin on Friday at 6 p.m. BST and will last through August 2 at the same time in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
If players are close to accomplishing what they need but aren’t sure they’ll be able to do it by grinding over the next two weeks, this will provide them the opportunity to unlock lower Battle Pass Tiers.
Meanwhile, it will provide Call of Duty enthusiasts the opportunity to unlock new weapons and level them up, allowing them to create their ideal loadout.
However, both Call of Duty games will be upgraded with new playlists and content before this goes live.
With a new Gunfight Tournament and Collateral Combined Arms 24/7, 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only playlist, Cold War appears to be getting the most new content.
The latest patch is set to launch on Thursday, July 29, according to Activision’s announcement this week to COD fans:
“Treyarch’s next Gunfight Tournament begins on July 29 with new and special in-game goodies to be won by competing in all four rounds.
“Then, this week, the Season Four fan-favorite Collateral Combined Arms 24/7 returns, including Black Ops Cold War’s largest 12v12 arena stocked with Dirt Bikes, FAVs, and a fully-loaded Hind chopper to commandeer across a variety of fierce Combined Arms modes.
“If you’re trying to master the Dark Ops Challenges, this is the mode to play.
“In addition, this week, 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only replaces Gunfight Blueprints for sharpshooter Trios eager to compete against randomized sniper Loadouts.
“And in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, earn Double Weapon XP and reduced Battle Pass Tiers all weekend long starting July 30 through August 2.”
Changes to Warzone are likely to be minor, with Payload being replaced by a new set of modes.
Activision has also confirmed that the new Call of Duty patch will be released on the same day. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
