The duo is avid gardeners who frequently share their astounding accomplishments with the fruits and vegetables they have successfully cultivated.

Zoe took to Twitter to reveal that she was having problems with her cucumbers.

In response to her 103,000 Twitter followers, the Emmerdale actress wrote: “Cucumber specialists! What is causing our leaves to turn yellow?

“Perhaps too much or too little water? Help!”

Fans were quick to share their opinions, explaining to Zoe what the problem might be.

“I always believe it’s too much sun, they burn,” one wrote. It is usually too much water that causes them to rot, not yellowing. It could also be due to a lack of water or too much sun, but it only happens to the cucumbers I have that are exposed to direct sunlight all day.”

“Thank you,” Zoe said.

“Magnesium deficiency,” said another.

A third wrote, “The reason for yellowing leaves is that you have a watering problem, which implies you’re either supplying too much or too little water.”

“The plant is putting more energy into the cucumber than the leaves,” a fourth concurred. “Calcium yes magnesium sulphate or epsom salts will green them back, we do the same with our shrubs at work if they start to look pale, we add a slow release fertilizer plug to the pots.”

“Thank you,” Zoe replied. They’re already looking better after using Epsom salts with Friday’s water.” (sic)
