Debbie McGee admits that finding love again after Paul Daniels’ heartbreak would be ‘amazing.’

Following the death of her husband Paul Daniels, Debbie McGee admitted she was looking forward to finding love again.

In an unearthed interview earlier this year, the actress discussed this when reflecting on his death.

Debbie and Paul had been married for 28 years when he died suddenly in March of 2016.

While she was devastated by his death, the television star has now expressed her optimism for the future.

Debbie stated in February that she would like to meet someone new.

“It would be lovely to meet someone,” she told the Sunday People.

Debbie admitted that she hasn’t been in a relationship since Paul died.

“I’m not seeing anyone and haven’t been in a relationship with anyone since Paul died, but I could definitely see myself finding love again now if I met the right person.”

“After Paul’s death, I felt completely alone.”

Without Paul, I didn’t know who I was or if people would want to know who I was.

“But now I’m much more confident in who I am and I’m a lot stronger.”

“However, meeting someone would be wonderful,” she added.

As the saying goes, I’m not going hunting.

“I’m not on the prowl for it.”

If it’s going to happen, I think it will.

“What is meant to be is going to happen.”

This isn’t the first time she’s expressed her aspirations for the future.

In an interview with Good Morning Britain in April 2019, the actress echoed her sentiments.

“I believe I will in the future, but I’m not concerned if I don’t.”

“It has to be with the right person,” says the narrator.

“Some people are simply attempting to fill that void, provide support, or replace that individual.”

“I believe, and I truly believe, that attempting to replace that person is wrong.”

Debbie and Paul had been working together for ten years before marrying in 1988.

On his shows, she was the late magician’s assistant.

Debbie will be seen twice today on television.

First and foremost, she can be seen on ITV’s Tipping Point in a repeat.

She’ll also appear in Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel alongside other well-known actors.

In the game show, she will be joined by Claudia Winkleman, Jamie Laing, and Patrick Grant.
