After no longer working with Eamonn Holmes, Ruth Langsford talks about ‘falling at first hurdle.’
RUTH LANGSFORD has revealed that she no longer works with Eamonn Holmes, as the presenter admitted openly.
Ruth Langsford has admitted that viewers can “count her out” of appearing on Eamonn Holmes’ early morning show with her husband.
It follows the latter’s departure from This Morning last year and his subsequent move to GB News.
The husband and wife team were regular presenters on This Morning until Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary took their place in 2020.
While Ruth has confirmed that she will continue to appear on the ITV show, the mother of one has admitted that she does not want to be in Eamonn’s shoes.
In her most recent column, the 61-year-old stated that the dreaded early mornings would “kill me.”
The on-screen announcer stated that she is content to leave the alarms on for Eamonn.
“And before any of you ask why I’m not on breakfast television with Eamonn, you obviously don’t know who I am,” she began.
“I admire Eamonn and Isabel [Webster] for dealing with 3 a.m. alarm calls, but I know it would kill me.”
The early morning presenter has the ability to put viewers at ease, according to the Loose Women host, but she isn’t up for the challenge.
“One of the arts of early starts is to put the audience at ease and at ease,” she said.
“At the first hurdle, I’d give up.”
“I rely on my sleep far too much,” she told Best magazine.
I’ll happily watch with the rest of you at home.”
The TV host said she’s “very proud” of her “news junkie” husband and hinted that they might work together again in the future.
On Monday, Eamonn and his co-host Isabel Webster debuted their Breakfast Show.

“I’m getting some lovely messages from people all over the country who are looking forward to whatever we’re going to do differently,” he added on the show.
“I’m hoping we’ll do a lot of things differently this time.”
We’re going to do news, but it’ll be news with a twist.
“We’ll do your news because it’s important to you and it’s important to us.”
