After Manchester United’s victory, an incredible Van de Beek and Sancho moment was captured on camera.

Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho, who have been out of form for Manchester United, repaid Michael Carrick’s faith in them with a fantastic performance against Villarreal.

After Manchester United’s win over Villarreal on Tuesday night, Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho shared an incredible moment.

United won 2-0 in Spain, securing a place in the Champions League last-16 with one game to spare.

Van de Beek and Sancho, who had previously struggled under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, played pivotal roles in the victory.

To the delight of United fans, caretaker manager Michael Carrick surprised everyone by starting the pair from the start against Villarreal.

Sancho’s first goal for the Red Devils came off the underside of the bar, and it was a brilliant move that paid off handsomely.

Sancho dashed over to the bench, where Van de Beek was waiting for his younger teammate after the referee blew for full-time.

As Carrick stood in the background, the delighted Dutchman grabbed the England international by the head, hugged him, and screamed.

It was a lovely exchange between two talented players who will be hoping to improve under their caretaker manager after underwhelming under Solskjaer.

Sancho’s contribution in what was only his third completed 90 minutes for United since his move from Borussia Dortmund was praised by Carrick after the game.

“I was ecstatic for Jadon,” he told the club’s press.

“I thought he gave everything tonight, I thought he worked his socks off.”

“I know how much he enjoys having the ball at his feet and trying to make things happen, and it wasn’t always with the ball.”

“He showed a different side tonight, and his goal at the end pretty much sealed the deal for him and us.”

“To finish it off with Jadon was brilliant,” the caretaker boss told BT Sport.

He put in a lot of effort defensively and worked hard for us when we needed it.

For him, it had been a big night.”
