After I’m A Celebrity, Ant and Dec take a swipe at Novak Djokovic’s visa issues in Australia.

Today, as they discussed the future of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…, ANT AND DEC took a dig at tennis champion Novak Djokovic.

I’m out of here!

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, both 46, poked fun at tennis player Novak Djokovic today as they discussed the show’s potential return to the jungle.

Djokovic, 34, is awaiting a decision on his deportation from Australia.

Ant and Dec discussed their most recent series of I’m A Celebrity with BBC Radio 1 Breakfast’s Scott Mills.

Scott, 47, began by praising the show, praising the duo for persevering in the face of Storm Arwen’s problems and the looming presence of COVID-19.

Due to the pandemic, the show has been filmed in Gwrych Castle in North Wales for the past two years.

“With the storm and just the constant drama of Covid, it was so difficult to do the show this year,” Dec explained.

“Everywhere you walked, there were Covid wardens shouting ‘Two metres!’

“It was just so difficult to get the show on the air, so we’re just grateful that we did, and it was great – we really enjoyed it.”

Dec admitted that his team has been missing the jungle despite his positive outlook on the UK-based version of the show.

“The people of Wales made us feel very welcome again,” he confessed, “but I think we’re ready to return to Australia.”

“It’ll be nice to get them back in the jungle,” says the narrator.

“Yeah, it’s the show’s home, it’s where it should be, you know? You want to watch I’m A Celebrity in the sunshine,” Ant agreed.

“Everyone involved in the show is doing everything they can to bring it back next year.”

Dec brought up Djokovic, who is currently in immigration detention in Melbourne and faces a court challenge on Monday.

“We’ll do everything we can to get in.”

We’re not sure if we’ll be able to get in because Novak Djokovic isn’t doing so well at the moment!” Dec joked.

Djokovic is the most successful tennis player in the world.
