After discovering her photo in a nightclub, Elvis Presley began an affair with a teenage dancer.

After seeing her photo in a nightclub, ELVIS PRESLEY began an affair with Sandy Martindale (née Ferra), a teenage dancer. Sandy initially refused to go out with Elvis, claiming that she had “school the next morning.”

In 1960, Elvis Presley returned from Germany with a newfound passion for women. After spending time in Europe with a number of models, he returned to Graceland with his soon-to-be wife, Priscilla Presley, to live with him. The star’s womanizing did not, however, cease just because his fiancée was in the country. In 1961, the King of Rock and Roll allegedly came across a portrait of a young Sandy in her father’s Los Angeles nightclub, sparking the start of yet another relationship.

Sandy spoke with in 2015 about her relationship with Elvis in the 1960s.

Sandy’s portrait, taken when she was barely 14 years old, was enough to “bowl Elvis over.”

“He contacted me to go out, but I had to remind him I had school the next day,” she recalled.

“Mom drove me to the club the next night to meet him.”

“My mum came with us on our first dates,” she joked. I cried out of embarrassment.”

Sandy continued by recounting her first date with Elvis.

“Elvis had a date that night with a stunning actress, and there I was, with my little ponytail,” she explained.

“He was 24 years old at the time. He took my hand in his, kissed me on the cheek, and I knew I was doomed.”

Elvis and Sandy had an on-again, off-again relationship for the following six years.

Sandy worked with Elvis on a lot of his films, so their relationship together didn’t end there.

“I danced in six of his movies because I was hanging [out]with him,” she explained.

Sandy, who was 17 at the time, had the same dancing teacher as Ann-Margret, who helped her get into the pictures.

“That’s me with Ann-Margret and Elvis dancing at the roulette table in Viva Las Vegas,” Sandy continued.

Elvis eventually split up with Priscilla before marrying her in 1967.

But, even after his marriage began, the King kept in touch with Sandy, and the two remained friends until the end.

When she last saw Elvis backstage at one of his final Las Vegas concerts, right before he died in 1977, the youngster described herself as “devastated.”

Sandy later married Wink Martindale, a well-known American radio DJ. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
