After being killed off, a Star Wars actor slammed Disney, saying, “Are you f*****g joking?”
STAR WARS: One of the performers from Solo was upset that he was killed off because it was not in the original screenplay.
Many characters have been introduced and killed off in the Star Wars films during the last decade. The origin of Han Solo (Elden Ehrenreich) and his girlfriend, Qi’ra, was revealed in the 2018 Disney film Solo: A Star Wars Story (Emilia Clarke). Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson), a gangster who commits heists on a regular basis, was introduced in this film. Thandiwe Newton played his wife, Val, but the character didn’t survive long in the movie.

After a botched heist, Newton’s character was killed off early in the film.
The 48-year-old star has now spoken out about how her character’s journey was cut short before it could blossom.
“I was disappointed with Star Wars that my character was killed,” she remarked in a new interview. In fact, she wasn’t slain in the script. It happened while the movie was being made.
“It had a lot to do with the amount of time we had to shoot the scenes. It’s far easier to just let me die than to let me fall into a vacuum of space and hope to return at some point.” (It’s the other way around)
The picture Solo, which was produced by Disney, was notably marred by controversy after its former filmmakers, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, abruptly left the project in the middle of production. Because of their departure, Ron Howard had to come in and reshoot some scenes.
Newton felt that instead of being killed off, her character could have “came back at some point.”
“However, when it came to filming that scene, as far as I was concerned and was aware, it was too large a set-piece to produce, so they just had me balloon up and I was done,” she explained.
Newton didn’t agree with the decision, despite the fact that the death scene was filmed and eventually included in the film. “I remember thinking at the time, ‘This is a big, big mistake,’” she added.
“Not because of me, not because I wanted to come back,” Newton added. You don’t kill the world’s first Black woman.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
