After an unpleasant social media gaffe, Louise Minchin apologizes to her BBC Breakfast co-host.

After making an embarrassing social media gaffe, LOUISE MINCHIN has apologized.

Louise Minchin, 52, of BBC Breakfast, took to Twitter today to post her daily morning photo as she returned to the sofa. Her co-star Dan Walker, 44, was away from the show once again, with their colleague Jon Kay, 51, filling in.

Louise turned to Twitter to respond to a social media user who had pointed out the TV host’s blatant inaccuracy.

The BBC presenter shared a photo of herself seated opposite her co-star Jon with her 213,000 Twitter followers.

“Good morning, and best wishes to everyone who will be receiving their results today. “On the #BBCBreakfast sofa, @jonkay keeps me company,” Louise tweeted.

Louise was quickly corrected by a fan who pointed out that she had tagged the wrong person in her tweet.

“Just sure the right Jon Kay is tagged here?” the person in question wrote. Some man in Toronto is going to wake up thinking he’s gone global!”

Louise quickly apologized to her coworker and the stranger in question for her gaffe.

“Yup you are right, this is the @jonkay01,” she wrote. I’m with you! #apologies, Jon and Jon.”

The amusing gaffe occurred when the BBC Breakfast anchor was reacting to some major news.

Dan, her coworker, has been confirmed as the eighth contender in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing to make his debut.

In what promises to be one of the most entertaining seasons to date, the former Football Focus star joins Tom Fletcher, Robert Webb, AJ Odudu, John Whaite, Rhys Stephenson, Sara Davies, and Katie McGlynn.

After she revealed that he had kept the news from her, Louise called him a “rascal.”

“What a rascal,” she wrote. I can’t believe @mrdanwalker withheld this information from me! Dan, best of luck; I’ll be keeping an eye on you.”

Dan spoke on BBC Breakfast via video link and relayed the news.

Unbeknownst to Louise, the eighth famous face to sign up was her long-serving co-host, who is currently on vacation.

“What is he doing?” exclaims the audience. When Dan was confirmed, Louise was taken aback. Mr Walker, I don’t believe you!

“Congratulations,” Louise said as Dan surprised her. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
