After her abrupt exit from Strictly, Katya Jones tells Motsi Mabuse that it’s ‘too late’ for praise.

Katya Jones and Olympian Adam Peaty were voted off of Strictly Come Dancing in the most recent episode, but Katya Jones, a dance professional, was unimpressed with praise that came far too late.

Katya Jones, a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, appeared to make a snide remark to Motsi Mabuse, claiming her praise was “too late.”

Katya and her celebrity partner Adam Peaty were eliminated from the show on Sunday night after failing to impress judges and viewers with their jive.

Judge Motsi offered the couple words of encouragement before they performed their final dance to fight for their spot, which Katya did not seem to appreciate.

After learning that he would be competing against Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin in the dreaded dance-off, Adam expressed his delight at the opportunity to perform the routine once more.

“I know you really didn’t want to be here again,” said presenter Tess Daly to Adam.

“Are you alright?”

“It’s a familiar place, thankfully,” he replied, “but hopefully we won’t make a mistake and can enjoy dancing together.”

Tess responded, “Well said.”

“Motsi, you mentioned Adam’s Jive had energy and personality on Saturday night, but you also mentioned mistakes.

“Will he be able to make up for it in the dance-off?”

“You can definitely rectify now,” Motsi responded, “and I do believe if you just breathe a little, relax, and trust yourself – you have it in you.”

“Relax, take it step by step,” she added.

“Too late,” Katya replied with a smile to the judge.

“I believe so,” Adam continued, remaining upbeat.

But I’m learning that if I give too much in dance, I’ll make mistakes.

“I have to reserve it a little bit, I have to enjoy it because I never know when this experience will end, and I’m grateful for every dance I get to do.”

Despite their best efforts in the dance-off, Adam and Katya received the fewest votes from the judges and were forced to exit the show.

“Firstly, I wouldn’t have put these couples in the bottom,” Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood explained his decision.

That’s just me, but seeing as they’re there and I have to choose, I’m having a hard time tonight, which isn’t typical of me.

“However, I’m going to save Nikita because she’s a better dancer and it’ll make for a better dance-off scenario.”
