After a ‘uncomfortable’ Nina routine, Neil Jones is the first to exit Strictly 2021.

NEIL JONES and his celebrity dance partner Nina Wadia have been eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2021 for the first time.

On Sunday night, Strictly Come Dancing viewers witnessed the first elimination of the series, as Nina Wadia and Neil Jones were eliminated from the competition. After getting criticism from the judges, the pair took to the dance floor one more on Sunday night, as they found themselves in the bottom two. As a result, they had to perform in the dance-off again, but they weren’t able to do well enough to stay in the competition.

On Sunday night’s dramatic episode of Strictly Come Dancing, the first elimination took happened.

This week’s judges’ scores were added to those from the previous week before being mixed with the results of the viewers’ votes.

The lowest-scoring couples facing the dance-off were revealed by presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman after the overall scores were totalled together.

They revealed that Nina and Neil will face Katie McGlynn and her partner Gorka Marquez in the dreaded dance-off.

Nina and Neil performed a Tango to Eurythmics’ Would I Lie To You? in an attempt to impress the judges.

In the meantime, Katie and Gorka danced their Jive to Olivia Rodrigo’s Good 4 U in a bid to stay in the competition.

The judges announced their decisions after intently observing each couple perform once more in the legendary Strictly ballroom.

Craig Revel Horwood was the first judge to vote, and he chose Katie and Gorka to be saved.

“Both couples certainly improved their game since the first time they danced,” he remarked. Nina, you followed the instructions to the letter.

“Katie, you kept the energy up all the way to the finish with lots of retraction,” Craig declared. “But the couple I’d like to keep is Katie and Gorka.”

Motsi Mabuse chose to save Katie and Gorka from elimination, following Craig’s lead.

Motsi complimented both couples for their progress before delivering her decision: “I truly believed that each of you sacrificed absolutely everything that you have.”

Anton Du Beke, the new judge, was the next to vote, and he opted to save Nina and Neil.

“I think Nina and Neil were the ones who stepped up their game and played the best,” he said.

“Brinkwire Summary News” was then up to Head Judge Shirley Ballas, who received two votes to one.
