After 40 years, Queen’s Greatest Hits is on track to become the UK’s number one album: Brian May exclaims, “Unbelievable!”

After 40 years, QUEEN’s Greatest Hits is on track for a UK No 1 as Brian May and Roger Taylor thank fans for their support.

Queen’s Greatest Hits is the best-selling album in the United Kingdom, and it is on track to become the country’s No. 1 album for the first time since 1981. For its 40th anniversary, the classic record has been re-released on various formats, coinciding with Queen’s 50th anniversary year. The record debuted at No. 1 in the midweek charts, and Brian May and Roger Taylor are ecstatic.

“Oh!!!,” Brian May wrote on Instagram. So, with Queen’s Greatest Hits, we’re presumably aiming for the top spot???

“Well, it wouldn’t be a good thing if I didn’t say that!!!! I believe you will all need to order a brand new copy of Britain’s all-time best-selling album? What are you doing right now? “Perfect on vinyl… or cassette!!!”

“Eeek!” exclaimed the 73-year-old later. Midweek, I’m still in first place – so… Let’s hope for an official #1 by the end of the week – Friday’s chart.

“MANY THANKS FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE, EVERYONE! Unimaginable!! Bri.”

“Rumour has it that Greatest Hits is currently #1 in the UK midweek rankings as well,” Roger wrote.

That’s fantastic! Thank you to everyone who is helping to keep us there! “Can we put it off until Friday?”

At addition, the Queen drummer shared a Spotify promo for Queen’s Greatest Hits, which was digitally displayed in Time Square in New York.

The album had over 4000 sales in the midweek charts, according to the Official Charts.

Physical media account for 86 percent of the total, including a collector’s edition CD with an exclusive slipcase cover and limited edition cassette versions in five different colors.
