According to Quentin Tarantino, the Joker’s star is “the best actor in the world.”
JOKER has gone down in history as one of the most iconic comic book films of all time, and according to prolific director Quentin Tarantino, one of the supporting characters in the picture has been dubbed the “best actor in the world.”
Joker, the origin story of the DC Comics villain of the same name, was critically acclaimed when it was published in 2019. The film based on Batman’s antagonist, directed by Todd Phillips, was given a new tale with Joaquin Phoenix as the psychotic villain. For his role in the film, the American actor earned an Academy Award for Best Actor, cementing his status as one of the most well-known actors of the time. Despite the high accolades for Phoenix’s acting abilities, Tarantino had previously stated that his co-star was the crème of the crop.
When Tarantino’s film Jackie Brown was first released, he remarked about it.
During this time, he talked about one of his actors, Robert De Niro, who he described as being “so in character” during his entire performance.
“He earns his status as possibly the best actor of his generation,” he observed of the star in 1997. He is, in my opinion, the best actor on the planet.

In Joker, De Niro plays Murray Franklin, a talk show host who has no qualms about making fun of his guests.
One of Murray’s guests throughout the film is Arthur Fleck/Joker, whom he soon regrets mocking.
“What I mean by that is when Robert is playing Louis… he is working moment to moment,” Tarantino continued. That’s something De Niro knows how to do. He’s very much in character.”
It’s no surprise that the actor has bewitched filmmakers like Quentin Tarantino throughout the years.
After working with a diverse range of actors and directors, De Niro has become a household name.
The American actor has collaborated with directors such as Todd Phillips, James Mangold, and Martin Scorsese.
Most recently, the actor collaborated with the latter on the Netflix picture The Irishman, as well as his old The Godfather co-star Al Pacino.
Despite his success in films such as Taxi Driver, Meet the Parents, and Heat, he commented last year about how the entertainment world is changing. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
