A Call of Duty fan “spent over £4,000” on the popular game… and then was banned.
After apparently spending thousands of pounds on the hit game, a Call of Duty fan has been left disappointed after being banned.
Call of Duty is one of the most well-known and famous video game franchises. After allegedly spending over £4,000 on the game, one fan of the blockbuster shooter has been placed in a frustrating scenario after receiving a ten-year ban. The strange event was described on Reddit by a Call of Duty Mobile gamer, according to Dexerto.
After migrating from Pakistan to Australia, the COD fan said they were banned.
The Redditor claimed that after traveling thousands of miles around the world, they discovered that their valued Call of Duty Mobile account, which they had spent over $6,000 on, had been blocked.
That works out to roughly £4,373 at the time of writing.
That’s a lot of money to spend on a free-to-play game for iOS and Android smartphones.
After arriving in Australia, the gamer opted to open up Call of Duty Mobile – and was promptly banned for ten minutes.
The Call of Duty aficionado was initially unconcerned, but was later issued a one-hour suspension.
The gamer was then left speechless as they were supposedly sentenced to a ten-year ban.
“Please upvote to help me out my account is now banned for 10 years,” said the Reddit post detailing the situation.
“So I used to reside in Pakistan and I started playing codm then,” Redditor Bronac1234 claimed in the post. Then, after recently relocating to Australia, I resumed playing.
“However, I received a 10-minute suspension yesterday, but I didn’t think much of it because it was only 10 minutes.
“When I logged on today, I was banned for an hour again. I’m not sure what’s causing this.
“I don’t use any third-party apps, hackers, or anything like that,” she says.
“My other account, which I set up in Australia, is operational.
“I believe this is due to the fact that the game identifies I’m using a VPN, as the other account was registered in Pakistan.”
“I have spent almost $6000 on this account and do not want anything to happen to it,” the posting continued. “Brinkwire Summary News” is who I am.
