In the ’70s and’ 80s, Roberts started her career as a model and actress. She is perhaps best known for her appearance in 1985’s “A View to a Kill.” as Bond girl Stacey Sutton.
When she landed the role of Donna’s (Laura Prepon) mother, Midge Pinciotti, in That ’70s Show, Roberts won a new generation of followers.

The old and young fans shared dismay at the supposed death of Roberts.

Pingel reported to the media the death of Roberts.
Roberts was walking her dogs on Christmas Eve when she died, as he explained to The Hollywood Reporter. She was admitted to Los Angeles’ Cedar-Sinai Hospital and reportedly died on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021.
“I am devastated,” Pingel told the publication. She was brilliant and beautiful, and I feel like a light was taken away from me.
It would be at the top of the list to say she was an angel. She was the sweetest person you’d ever meet and had a big heart. She loved her fans, and I think she didn’t know how much she meant to them.
Several members of The ’70s Show took to social media to mourn when the news about Roberts broke, including frontman Grace.
“I was so sad to hear that Tanya Roberts has passed away,” Grace’s tweet began.
I was so sad to learn about the death of Tanya Roberts. She was a girl from Bond, one of the angels of Charlie, and really a great person to work with. I had never acted before and was a little nervous around her, to be honest.

Roberts was mourned by other actresses, including Danny Masterson, on social media.
“We lost a great one. Rip #TanyaRoberts you were a wonderful person to work with and we all loved you so much. Godspeed #MidgePinciotti,”
News emerged hours later that Roberts was still alive.
Ashton Kutcher and Topher Grace responded to the news that Tanya Roberts was alive in the best way imaginable in the 1970s.
Initially, the only ones to comment on the death of Roberts were Masterson and Grace. Kutcher took to Twitter to share the good news with Grace as the news that Roberts was still alive came to light.
