A photo of one man’s new St Louis apartment has gone viral because of its unique design.
This one-stop shop features its kitchen and bathroom in the same room.
In the unusual tight squeeze, the man’s toilet, bathtub, oven and sink all sit next to one another.
The 200-square-foot apartment is located on 4917 McPherson Avenue in St Louis’ wealthy Central West End neighborhood.
The ad and photo for the $525-per-month apartment appeared on several websites and had people flush with excitement.
And the home’s layout is ideal for a multitasker.
The photo was first shared by Jarel Loveless who tweeted: ‘Have to love the St. Louis housing market. Combo kitchen/bathroom, $525/month.’
Some people thought the combination was ‘disgusting’ while others ‘loved it’.
Harold Karabell of S.F. Shannon Real Estate Management said the new tenant loves it. The 111-year-old building originally housed 12 luxury apartments.
Karabell said that around the time of the Great Depression, it was remade into 50 small units, the studio the smallest among them.
Toilet-kitchen combo aside, Karabell said the apartment has a lot to like, including refinished hardwood floors and new windows.
The apartment also features a spacious walk-in closet.
And it’s not too far from the Chase Park Plaza, Left Bank Books and high-end markets like Straub’s.
