Qld confident energy plan is on track

Queensland’s energy minister says he is confident the sunshine state is already meeting most standards set out in the competition watchdog’s new energy report.

Anthony Lynham said he would carefully consider the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s report, due to be released on Wednesday, ahead of a speech by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in Brisbane, which says the electricity sector needs reform to bring down prices and restore confidence.

“It seems to be a tick that we are doing things right, but there’s always more that we can do,” he told ABC radio.
