Red Dead Online is the multiplayer component of Red Dead Redemption 2 – akin to what GTA Online was to Grand Theft Auto 5.
Developer Rockstar Games is also employing a similar rollout, launching Red Dead Online after the main game releases as a Red Dead Online beta.
Details are few and far between for Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer, but we have a release month and some basics on what the Red Dead Online mode will be.
Though we don’t have a specific date, we know the broad Red Dead Online beta date will be in November 2018 – that’s in the month following the main Red Dead Redemption 2 release date in October.
When it comes to Red Dead Online beta access, you’ll need to have a copy of the main game Red Dead Redemption 2. That and the full Red Dead Online experience is free to owners of the game.
It will also launch initially as a public beta – which means everyone should have equal access.
There’s not a great deal to go on right now, but where’s what else we know about Red Dead Online:
