Google updated its Chromecast but it’s still priced at $35

Today, Google announced its new Pixel handsets, an accompanying wireless charger, its first Chrome OS tablet, and more. It also managed to update its Chromecast device, delivering more power with its slightly upgraded internals, a revised design but is still available at the same price point as previous models.

The third generation Chromecast works in the same way as previous models, plugging into a TV or display, giving it the ability to show off streaming content from a phone, PC, or other supported source. The Chromecast supports a variety of media apps from heavy hitters like Netflix, Hulu, HBO, to also more music-oriented apps like Spotify, Pandora, Google Play Music, and more.

In addition to controlling your media using a phone or PC, you’ll be able to control the Chromecast using a Google Home device and can also connect your Nest security setup so it can be displayed through the Chromecast. The new Chromecast is available in two colors, Chalk and Charcoal, and is now available for purchase for $35.
