Tyson Fury has threatened to punch ‘t*t’ Eddie Hearn and accused Anthony Joshua’s promoter of having a ‘man crush’ on him as the pair continue their high-profile war of words.
The 30-year-old heavyweight was reacting to remarks made by Hearn in which he called Fury’s upcoming fight with German boxer Tom Schwarz a ‘gimme’.
Fury is currently in training to fight the relatively unknown Schwarz in Las Vegas on June 15 after a touted rematch with Deontay Wilder was canned following their controversial draw in December.
And speaking to Beyond the Gloves, Fury hit out at his rival’s promoter by saying if he doesn’t call a truce to their exchanges he will ‘slap his teeth in’.
‘It’s good banter and Eddie loves taking a bit of stick from me. He’s a fanboy,’ said Fury.
‘Eddie Hearn’s a t*t. He knows that, and I know that, and the rest of the world knows that.
‘Eddie Hearn’s got a ‘man crush’ on me, that’s all it is.
‘When somebody fancies somebody, they do nasty things to them all the time and they talk s*** about them.’
‘Whenever you see Eddie Hearn saying all the bulls*** about me and then you get me responding back to him.
‘It’s because he’s got a ‘man crush’ on me and obviously he fancies he, doesn’t he? Don’t you, Eddie?
‘I’m gonna take him out for a drink next time I see him. I’ll even give him a ringside ticket to my next fight in Vegas.
‘You know what, it’s jealousy. Eddie Hearn can’t fight. Tom Schwarz would hit Eddie with one jab and a left hook and he’d put Eddie out for a week.’
Fury continued: ‘When you get people like Eddie Hearn saying negative stuff about me, I look at it and I think, “You know what Eddie? You’ve never had a fight in your life”.
‘How can you call me and say “you’re s***” or whatever because you can’t fight and if you could, you’d be a world champion and I wouldn’t.’
‘I understand that he’s a promoter and he has to try and run me down to make his fights look better, but come on, it is what it is.
‘I’m sick of all the bulls*** games. I say we call a truce, the next negative word you say about me I’m gonna slap all your teeth in for you.’
The Gypsy King signed an £80million agreement with Top Rank to show his fights on ESPN earlier this year, putting him at odds with WBC world heavyweight title holder Wilder and WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Joshua, who have signed deals with Showtime and DAZN respectively.
The three biggest names of the heavyweight division are unlikely to find an agreement this year while Fury said he would seek an interim bout before returning to face the Bronze Bomber.
Schwarz was announced as Fury’s opponent, a 6ft 6in fighter who has only fought outside Germany twice during his career to date.
It was Hearn’s father Barry who triggered the public spat when he brandished Fury’s upcoming fight with the unbeaten WBO Inter-Continental title holder as ‘bulls***’.
‘Tyson Fury is the best gypsy boxer in the world, isn’t he?’ Hearn Sr said in a press conference ahead of Dillian Whyte’s fight with Oscar Rivas.
‘The king of the gypsys who’ll fight any man whatsoever?
‘Ah, his next opponent’s ranked number 93 with BoxRec.
‘Congratulations, make of it what you want, but let’s have no bulls***, shall we?’
Hearn’s fighter Joshua was scheduled to face Jarrell Miller in New York on June 1, but the American scuppered the box office showdown by failing a drugs test.
Instead, Joshua will face Andy Ruiz Jr on the same date at Madison Square Garden.
