Ronaldo ‘pushing to sign Real Madrid starlet Vinicius Jnr for Real Valladolid’

Brazilian legend Ronaldo is reportedly working to secure the loan signing of Vinicius Jnr for Real Valladolid.

The former Real Madrid forward is now the owner of Valladolid and is hoping to prise the exciting starlet away from his old club.

Ronaldo played alongside current Real boss Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu and now, according to Spanish paper Sport, the pair could link up again this summer.

It’s claimed Ronaldo is hoping to bring Vinicius to Valladolid, with Zidane unable to guarantee the 18-year-old forward the same first-team action he’s seen this season.

The starlet made 36 appearances for Los Blancos, netting seven goals and picking up 13 assists.

But Madrid are looking to overhaul their squad following a disappointing campaign at home and in Europe.

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is among Zidane’s top transfer targets and should he move to the Bernabeu, that could limit Vinicius’ playing time moving forward.

Karim Benzema is set to lead the line again next season following another impressive return, so the Brazilian startlet may be forced elsewhere to enjoy regular game-time.

It’s claimed he would be the star at Valladolid, despite missing out on the Brazil squad for the upcoming Copa America.

Ronaldo was the man who helped Vinicius when he first moved to Spain from Brazil and it’s not the first time the legendary striker has tried to sign his protege on loan.
