Stop everything! The latest Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay trailer is here! This trailer shows all the different activities there are to do in the West, including bank heists, robbing trains and so much more. The trailer can be watched below, while the first gameplay trailer can be watched above.
There are a ton of activities to check out once you get started in Red Dead Redemption 2. Classics from previous games, such as poker and five-finger-fillet make a return, along with plenty of new things to try out. The full list of things to do from the trailer include:
There are likely way more activities that that, these are just the ones seen and mentioned in the trailer.
Before continuing, can we just pause for a second to recognize just how good Red Dead Redemption 2 looks? The animations seem crisp, the textures look vibrant and I cannot wait to get my hands on this game. Anyway, back to the trailer.
We also have glimpses at a few different presentation styles in the trailer. The most notable is the first-person view, which can be seen starting at the 3:42 mark in the video. The entire game is playable in first-person if you choose. Along with first-person, the trailer shows off several cinematic cameras available for players to use. These mostly are used when traversing wide-open stretches of the world instead of when in combat or something, so definitely check them out to see some beautiful sights.
The Dead Eye system is also making a return in Red Dead Redemption 2, but it looks like there are some minor changes. Based on the trailer, players will need to level up Dead Eye, with the ability starting as a simple “slows down time” mechanic, but upgrades to include marking enemies and even highlighting weak points on enemies.
Player choice makes an appearance in the trailer as well, along with the fact that your actions have consequences and people will remember you for what you’ve done, good and bad. Along with the serious stuff, players can also choose what outfits to wear, to shave or have a beard, when to take a bath (or not) and other fun personalization options like that.
Red Dead Redemption 2 releases for PS4 and Xbox One on Oct. 26.
