LOUIS Tomlinson has revealed how hurt he felt after Zayn snubbed his X Factor comeback.
The One Direction lad revealed how all the band had agreed to pull together and support his debut solo performance hours after his mum died.
However, Perrie Edwards’ ex was nowhere to be seen and Louis was forced to go through with the performance knowing his mate had turned his back on him.
Speaking frankly, Louis said: “Truthfully it never really got better to be honest.
“I had a couple of calls with him after I lost my mum and, you know, all the boys had agreed to come to that performance and he didn’t show and that really bugged me.
“Everyone showed and it was a moment of… I got goosebumps there, and seeing Harry [Styles], Niall [Horan], and Liam [Payne], that was what I needed that night, that support.”
Trying to remain diplomatic, the gutted lad added to The Sun: “So on the other end of the spectrum it kind of really showed.
“So, eh, I hope he’s alright, but…”
Zayn left One Direction on March 25, 2015 shocking both his bandmates and the group’s loyal fans.
In a statement at the time, Zayn said: “My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined.
“But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band.
The group continued the remainder of their world tour as a foursome before hitting the studio.
However, after just a few months they called it quits.
In an emotional final performance, One Direction said goodbye at The X Factor final.
