Xbox Reside FREE Video games: Big Microsoft Xbox One recreation is free to obtain and play proper now

FIGHTING FANS have a good weekend as NetherRealm has made one of its best-rated fighting games available to download. Here’s what you need to know.

Microsoft has already spoiled Xbox Live Gold subscribers this week with another selection of Deals with Gold offers (more on that further down), but once again this weekend the tech giant has revealed yet another excellent offer.

As part of its Free Play Days program, Microsoft has announced it will be giving Xbox Live Gold members the chance to access another game absolutely free this weekend.

If you sign into your Xbox One over this weekend, you will find you have free access to Mortal Kombat X.

This offer is already live (having started Thursday, March 7 at 8am GMT) but will last until March 11, Monday morning at 8am GMT.

You can find and install the game here.

If you’re excited about the upcoming release of Mortal Kombat 11 – which NetherRealm is due to launch on April 23 – this could be the best thing to get you trained up and hyped for the launch.

In the version of MKX you can download this weekend, you can lay through the cinematic story mode, and practice your finishing moves with new and iconic fighters.

“Get ready for the highly anticipated launch of Mortal Kombat 11 with a free weekend of Mortal Kombat X,” says a post on the Xbox Wire.

“Once you’ve perfected your skills, pre-order Mortal Kombat 11 to get Beta access on March 28 and playable character – Shao Kahn.”

If you’re new to the Mortal Kombat series, X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with all new gameplay you’d come to expect.

For the first time, players can choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style.

“The fatalities rock!” says one review over on the Xbox store. “All the main fighters are great and the guest fighters are awesome really happy that my favourite horror movie killer is in it Jason Voorhees.”

We played a lot of this game back when it came out in 2015 – it’s a really great game if you just want something to mess around in over this weekend.

You can keep your Gamerscore and achievements earned in-game during the event should you decide to purchase Mortal Kombat X.

However, with MK11 weeks away, we’re doubting people will do that right now.

Of course, as we mention though, there’s also some great Deals with Gold offers this week if you wanted to spend the cash elsewhere. Just follow the link to see the full list on Major Nelson’s website.

Or, as a reminder, there’s always the option of those new, free, Games with Gold titles, if you’re yet to download them that is.

Keep reading for a quick reminder of what’s on offer in March 2019.
